Summer Programming Updates
Mini Chef Camp: We are happy to announce that we will be conducting two Mini Chef Camp summer programs with two of our Ypsi organizational partners! We will continue to teach kids ages 5-15 knife skills, nutritional facts, and new recipes at CFLC. Also, we have taken on a group of 12 high schoolers to join us at First Presbyterian in Ypsilanti to study with our head chef. At the end of the summer, they will be running one of our free meals on the food truck, so keep an eye out for this event! Stay tuned, as we hope to run a couple of sessions that are open to the public in July and August! We've expanded our free meal sites and times Mondays: 6:30pm – 7:30pm - On the third Monday of each month, join us in Ypsilanti Township for a community meal at the New West Willow Neighborhood Association, 2057 Tyler Road, Ypsilanti 48198 Tuesdays: 1:30pm - 2:30pm- Free Meals at the Ypsilanti Library, 229 W Michigan Ave. 5:00pm – 6:30pm - On the first and fourth Tuesday of each month, join us in Ypsilanti for a community meal at the Peace HUB Community Resource Center, 1515 S Harris Rd 48198 Wednesdays: 12:00pm - 1:00pm – Lunch from the food truck in Ann Arbor at Liberty Plaza, 310 S Division St 48104 LiftUp Worship on Wednesday Evenings! We will share a free meal from 5:00pm-6:00pm, and worship together starting at 6:00pm. All are welcome to join; you can come at 5:00pm for the meal, or just join us at 6:00pm to sing with us! We would love to see you! 16 S Washington Street, Ypsilanti, 48197 Thursdays: 12:30pm - 1:30pm- Free Meal at Ypsilanti Library-Superior Branch, 1900 N Harris Rd. Wash Up this Summer! We have partnered with Messias Temple Church in Ypsilanti to provide the community with free showers. Our shower trailer will be in their North parking lot every Tuesday from 10:00 am-1:00 pm.
