Good Friday
On Good Friday, we will be holding a walking tour through Ypsilanti titled “Stations of the Cross Where Christ is Being Crucified Today”, inspired by St. Peter’s Episcopal Church’s yearly Good Friday Walk. During this tour, there will be multiple “stations” or locations that represent the different inequities and struggles our community faces and is crucified for, where we will stop, reflect, and engage in dialogue. If interested in joining us, keep an eye on our social media for more information about the time and starting location. |
Honoring the Legacy of Reverend Jesse Jackson

Rest In Power, Reverend Jesse Jackson
On February 17, prominent civil rights and social justice activist, politician, and Baptist minister Rev. Jesse Jackson passed away. Beyond his significant contributions to the 1960s civil rights movement through his organizing work with the SCLC and Martin Luther King Jr., he founded the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, a multi-racial, multi-issue, progressive, international membership organization fighting for social change. He also ran two historic presidential campaigns that influenced future politics nationwide, transforming campaign rules and narratives. Thank you, Reverend Jesse Jackson, for your service and devotion to social change and the betterment of humanity. |
