We have four new interns that have just joined our team. They're excited to be working with us and we’re excited to introduce them!

Amari Aaron

My name is Amari (she/her) and I am thrilled to be joining the FedUp family! I graduated in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, where I studied psychology. Over the past 2 years, I've had the privilege of working at Fuller Park during their children’s summer program and working as a Community Center Manager for University of Michigan Housing. I believe in FedUp’s values and am eager to be part of a team that strives to serve their community. Outside of work, you can find me learning new DIY projects. Whether it's painting or designing, I love to find new outlets for me to be creative.

Kate Holcomb

Hi, my name is Kate (she/they) and I am super excited to be a part of the FedUp team! I am pursuing my MSW degree with a focus on Community Change at the U-M School of Social Work. I grew up in the Washington DC area and I have a passion for social justice. I have had the privilege of working at Meals on Wheels for the past year and that experience has really increased my passion for people and meeting their needs. I feel that FedUp’s values truly represent what is important to me and I am eager to get to know the community better! In my free time, you can find me reading, painting, and drinking too much coffee.

Luna Hughson

Luna (she/they) is a conflict practitioner and community organizer. She brings and is motivated by personal experiences of policing of loved ones, interpersonal violence, familial incarceration, trauma, and mental health crises. Luna comes from a career working in LGBTQIA+ affirming healthcare and public health for ten years, while using their Master’s in Conflict Resolution to train and counsel folks about anti-oppressive and transformative approaches to conflict. Luna is a mediator, a street medic, a restorative and transformative justice practitioner, and a dog-dad to the best rescued pitbull. Luna believes that our combined, everyday actions will lead to liberation.

Maddie Tong

Hi, I’m Maddie (she/her) and I am in my final semester at the UM School of Social Work pursuing my MSW degree with an emphasis on Community Change and Global Social Work. I grew up in Menlo Park, CA, and have an academic/professional background in international studies and nonprofit communications work. I am excited to work with FedUp Ministries and continue to develop my skills as a macro social worker. When I'm not in class or working, you can find me reading, grabbing coffee, or exploring one of Ann Arbor’s many parks (when the sun is out)!
