Purpose Statement: To provide a dignified and private space for people to maximize hygiene through rejuvenating water.
5,000 people are experiencing homelessness and unstable housing on any given day in Washtenaw County (Washtenaw Shelter Association).
In Washtenaw County, less than 8 walk-in showers are available each day.
Hundreds of individuals are turned away from emergency shelters each month in Washtenaw County, with wait times of up to six months to be connected with stable housing.
"When surveyed, downtown stakeholders, businesses, and residents ranked public restroom access as their number one concern [in Ann Arbor]" (D'Arcy, Throne Labs).
Washtenaw County has around 3.2 public restrooms per 100,000 residents, and just 0.2 restrooms per square mile.

Showers
Our mobile shower facility contains four full bathrooms and can be used anywhere. Water pressure is best when the facility can be hooked up to a building, but our trailer is self-contained and can be of use anywhere with or without a stationary water and power source. Guests are invited to our facility during our open hours.
Laundry
Our mobile laundry facility contains three full size washers and three full size dryers. Guests are invited to our facility during our open hours.
If community and/or faith-based organizations want to partner with us to offer more shower times, please reach out to coordinate with our team. Our facility can be dropped off at your location for use.
Volunteers are always welcome.
