Hi All! We are excited to welcome four new folks to our FedUp Team!

First up is help us welcome our newest Intern, Marissa Moore! Hi Everyone! My name is Marissa (she/her). I am currently a student at the University of Michigan pursuing a dual master’s degree in Social Work and Information. My academic focuses are global social work, community change, and digital curation. I am from a small farming town in Southeast Michigan. Some of my hobbies include spending time in nature, hanging out with my cats, walking, and making coffee at home. I am so excited to join the team here at FedUp and be a part of this community.

Next, welcome Don McCoy! Don (he/him) will be joining us as a Kitchen Staff member and has also been a big help driving Daisy to serve meals, pick up our Food Gatherers order, and so much more! Don joined the team because he loves to cook and make meals that will help others. Outside of work, he spends his time hunting, fishing, and attending music festivals!

Welcome our newest Kitchen Staff member, Alejandro Cervantes (Ale)! Ale(he/they) will also be working on our Shower & Laundry trucks. He is a self-described "nerd", who loves playing Dungeons and Dragons. Ale studies Latin American social protest music and liberation theology. They are passionate about interfaith work and are excited to join the FedUp team to make a difference in our community! Fun fact about Ale is that they are a singer and composer, active in the Barbershop Harmony Society!

Finally, welcome Stefani Crouse! Stefani (she/her) has joined our Kitchen Staff mostly on the weekends because during the week, Stefani supports our community by leading Circling Back: a Peer Support Group for People with Lived Experience of Homelessness. With multiple meetings across the county multiple days a week, Stefani stays very busy!! She cares very deeply about the folks we serve and is a member of Church of the Good Shepherd United Church of Christ. Recently, God has called her to pursue a Masters of the Arts in Social Justice from Union Theological Seminary starting in the Fall of 2023! We are very proud of Stefani and are so happy she is joining us in this amazing work!
