Barbara (she/her) has worked in many fields before retiring in 2014: physician assistant, social worker, personal trainer and exercise instructor, and, for the longest time, a baker with her own business, The Pastry Cart. A constant over those years has been volunteering in a variety of situations. Barbara facilitates the Meal Ministry at the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation, and that is how she connected with us at FedUp, when it was just beginning! Since our conception, Barbara has helped FedUp serve a weekly lunch every Wednesday at Liberty Plaza and the Day Time Warming Center. She has prepped food with us in the kitchen, washed our dishes, and taken countless orders outside the truck. Most recently, she answered the call to serve on our board and we are so very grateful. Barbara says, “I like attending meetings, I like a big project, and I believe in service.”
